Lewis Cassap promoted to Trainee Solicitor

We are delighted to announce that Lewis Cassap has been promoted from paralegal to trainee solicitor with us here at Richard Reed Solicitors.

After completing his law degree at Sunderland University, Lewis joined us as a paralegal in our Property Law department where he has for the past 14 months assisted the teams’ solicitors with both residential and commercial property work whilst also handling his own caseload of investment buy to let transactions.

Whilst working towards qualifying as a solicitor, Lewis will continue with his property work but will also take up seats and gain wider experience in other departments across the firm.

On hearing the news of his promotion, Lewis said ‘’I’m excited to accept the firms offer of a training contract, from day one I have felt at home at Richard Reed, and it means so much to me to be advancing my career at such a great firm with an exciting future. I would like to thank the directors for the opportunity and can’t wait to get started. ‘’

Sarah Reid, managing director said “part of our firm’s strategy is based on finding exceptional young talent and encouraging it to blossom and Lewis is a great example of that.” She went on to say “Lewis worked extremely hard and showed great enthusiasm and commitment in his role as paralegal and is very deserving of his promotion to continue his progress towards qualification. We all wish him the very best luck and will be supporting him every step of the way.”
