We are proud to share some positive news as we begin 2026 at Richard Reed Solicitors. Matthew Lockey has been appointed Head of our Private Family Law Team, alongside his ongoing role as Associate Solicitor.
Matthew joined Richard Reed Solicitors in May 2023 and has quickly built a strong reputation for his professionalism, technical expertise and compassionate approach to family law. His work supports clients through some of the most sensitive and challenging periods of their lives, and he is widely respected for the clarity, care and reassurance he provides throughout the legal process.
In February 2025, Matthew was promoted to Associate Solicitor, recognising his contribution to the firm’s growth and his commitment to delivering high-quality legal services. His latest appointment as Head of the Private Family Team reflects both his leadership within the department and his dedication to developing the team and its services for the benefit of our clients.
As Head of Department, Matthew will lead the continued growth of our Private Family Law offering, ensuring clients receive expert, practical advice delivered with empathy and understanding. He will also play a key role in mentoring colleagues and maintaining the high standards of client care the firm is known for.
Matthew’s progression is a fantastic example of our commitment to recognising talent and supporting career development within the firm. We are delighted to see him step into this leadership role and look forward to the positive impact he will continue to have on both the team and our clients.
