Matthew is a Solicitor within our Family Law team and joined Richard Reed in May 2023.
Having completed his Law Degree at the University of York, the Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University where he also achieved a Masters in Law, Matthew qualified as a Solicitor in 2017.
Specialising in Family Law, Matthew advises on all aspects of private law work including divorce and separation, financial issues and settlements and also children law.
Using a proactive but sensitive approach to proceedings, Matthew represents his clients both in and out of Court.
His qualifications and memberships include:
Resolution Accredited Specialist in Private Law children and domestic abuse cases since February 2024, and Member of Resolution
LLM – Master of Law (commendation)
LPC – Legal Practice Course
LLB – Law Degree (2:1)
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys many aspects of music, including supporting a local music education charity. He can also regularly be found playing football or cricket, and proudly following Middlesbrough FC, who he has supported through many ups and downs over the years!
