Annaliese joined Richard Reed in December 2022 and is a Solicitor, Notary Public and Head of our Wills, Trusts, Probate & Court of Protection Department.

During the course of carrying out Notarial work, Annaliese is regulated through the office of the Faculty Office of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Having qualified as a Solicitor in April 2002, Annaliese has vast experience in all aspects of Private Client law including:

The preparation of Wills: Either of a straightforward or complex nature, such as dealing with Wills for couples on second/subsequent marriages and for high net worth individuals.

Administration of Estates: Annaliese is on hand to handle the whole process of dealing with the administration of an estate of a deceased loved one.  She has experience of dealing with both lower value and high net worth estates, a recent example of the latter being two estates that were worth circa £1.2 and £1.3 million. Her role in dealing with estate administration also includes completing Inheritance Tax returns, giving advice on Deeds of Variation and preparing documents for submission to the Probate Registry.

Powers of Attorney: Giving advice on Lasting Powers of Attorney such as their creation and use whilst also objecting to and revoking others. Annaliese also provides assistance around General Powers of Attorney and registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney.

Court of Protection: Applying for Deputyship and dealing with the administration of a full range of Deputyships for professional Deputies, dealing with the Court Visitor, application for new Trustees, application for statutory Wills and dealing with contested Statutory Will applications.

As a dual qualified Solicitor and Notary Public, Annaliese is able to assist those that seek the authentication and certification of signatures, authority and capacity, particularly relating to documents for use abroad.

Outside of work, Annaliese loves to run! She has taken part in many organised races and has ran distances from 5k to a marathon – she has now ran the Disney Half Marathon twice, completed the Great North Run three times and ran the London Marathon.   She also enjoys going to the gym regularly and loves yoga.
