Keeping a New Year’s resolution to get fitter and healthier just got a whole lot easier in Sunderland – and we’re proud to play a part in making that happen.

Here at Richard Reed Solicitors, we’re delighted to announce our sponsorship of Sunderland Strollers Running Club, a well-established and much-loved organisation in the city. As part of our sponsorship, we’re supporting their beginners group, helping to make it more accessible to those looking to start their fitness journey.

This support means that Sunderland Strollers’ 16-week course for newcomers, which begins each January, can now be offered at a reduced cost. This makes it even easier for anyone who wants to get in shape and meet new people to join in and enjoy the benefits of running in a supportive environment.

Sunderland Strollers has been part of our community for an impressive 41 years. What started as a small group of individuals with a passion for staying active and being social has grown into a club with more than 300 members. Their ethos remains the same – bringing people together to enjoy running, no matter their level of experience.

Harry Harrison, the club’s chairman, explained the importance of their January sessions. These sessions are designed to introduce beginners to the joys of running, with the guidance and encouragement of seasoned members.

“We know that after Christmas, money can be tight for many people, and it might be difficult to take part in activities like this,” Harry said. “Thanks to the support from Richard Reed Solicitors, we’re able to keep the cost down, making the course more affordable and accessible. We’re incredibly grateful for their help, which will allow more people to stick to their New Year’s resolutions and embrace exercise.”
