Understanding the commercial sale process
Commercial property transactions differ from residential sales. Contracts are negotiated in detail and buyers will carry out extensive due diligence before committing to exchange.
Your solicitor will prepare the contract pack, supply title documentation and respond to enquiries raised by the buyer’s legal team. If the property is subject to occupational leases, additional documentation and information will be required.
If there is secured lending against the property, arrangements must be made to redeem the existing finance on completion.
Our role is to protect your position, manage risk and progress the transaction in line with your commercial objectives.
